Though the original Georgian-style residence had many admirable features, its layout limited the property’s full potential. By removing walls on the entry’s upper and lower levels and replacing the double grand curving staircases with a modern glass design to improve the room’s flow, we were able to introduce more natural light, and make the view visible upon entering the house. To create a modern whimsical feel, we curated a bold colorful palette incorporating contemporary furnishings, lighting, and artwork. From the more classic Calacatta marble to a minimalistic green Lucite tables, we melded traditional and modern to reimagine this gem.
